The Bum

Locations

There are various locations around the city map that MC can visit to complete main story quests as well as to see additional content with some of the side characters.

Martha's store

Located at the top of the main map, open every day from 9:00 to 19:00.

You need to go there to complete quests in Martha's questline as well as some quests for Barbara and Bella.

The store is used for acquiring things needed for completing certain quests:

  • with a normal look you can talk to Martha and buy stuff
  • with a bum look you can attempt to steal items by clicking on the ==hidden marker== in the left isle, but there's a certain risk involved of getting caught. Also, the more items you steal, the higher the likelihood of being caught - to reduce it, wait a day or so before stealing again

You can get these things at the store:

  • alcohol: beer, whiskey, wine
  • food: box of chocolates, bun, loaf of bread
  • plush toy
  • sobering pills
  • sleeping pills
  • massage oil

You can also buy 2 movies from Martha ("My Dear Queen" and "Shadow in the Cemetery"), which afterwards you can watch at your apartment when clicking on the 'TV' marker. It's basically a collection of short scenes with a very vague semblance of a plot.

Bank

Open weekdays from 8:00 to 19:00.

You need to be working there to complete quests on Franciska's, Bridjet's and Garnett's questlines as well as some quests for Nestor.

You also need to go there to pay rent for the cheap apartment and pay for the car loan, when the notification appears in the UI - talk to Franciska to get the options for that.

Barbershop

Located at the shopping area, open every day from 10:00 to 20:00, except Sunday.

You need to go there to complete quests in Adriana's questline as well as some of Abigail's quests.

Bakery shop

Located at the shopping area, open every day from 10:00 to 20:00.

You can go there to buy some food in form of a bun, bread or a huge burger. You'll need the latter to complete Bella's S5 quest.

Auto center

Located at the shopping area, open Tue-Thu from 10:00 to 18:00 (closed on Mondays, Fridays and weekends).

You need to go there to meet Licinia.

info Make sure your Reputation is at 85+ it will reduce the overall costs for the car and the insurance.

In order to purchase a car (in total it will cost you ~$7000) you need to:

  • go to the police station to get your driver's license (you need to be renting cheap apartment and have a good Reputation stat, the license itself will cost you ~$1100)
  • and either work at the bank for at least 4 weeks (you can also manually set variable var_bank_workday_count to '21'), go to Bridjet's office during the working day and ask her for the certificate of income
  • or, if you're working for Mr. Salazar, you can use that fact to your advantage and skip the work certificate from the bank

Kiki's café

Open every day from 11:00 to 2:00.

You need to go there to meet Jennifer and complete quests with Catalina.

Gym

Open every day from 6:00 to 18:00.

You need to go there to increase your strength via training and to complete some quests with Jennifer.

Police station

Always open.

You need to go there to complete some quests for Bridjet and Bella. If you chose to give up Hector Salazar at the end of the Prologue, the cartel hitmen will be after you - you can go to police and for a certain sum of money (depends on your Reputation, can be up to $5000), they'll help you solve the problem.

Apartments

There are 3 apartment buildings across the town:

  • East (cheap) apartments - if you have a normal look, you can rent an apartment from Jacqueline, you'll need to pay rent weekly at the bank. Further down the street are the apartments #101 and #103 where you can visit Barbara, Karen and Esmeralda to complete some of their quests
  • Upper luxury apartments - you can visit Bridjet (apartment 505) or Dilara and Licinia (apartment 411) there to complete some of their quests
  • Lower luxury apartments - you can visit Bella, Abigail and Garnett there to complete some of their quests

Paradise strip club

Open on Fri-Sun from 23:00.

There's an entrance fee, which will depend on your Reputation (higher Reputation will result in a lower fee). Also, you can only visit the club while you have a normal look.

You can go watch either Dilara or Karen dancing around the pole and throw money at them. If you talk to the barman, you can ask for a private dance from either Dilara or Karen (must meet their pre-requisites) for a fee.

Café Nubes

It will appear on the beach on Friday night after 0:00 and on Saturday after 11:00. You can do some extra quests there for Bridjet or Ines.

Hidden locations

There are hidden locations on the main map that trigger certain random events and as such they also appear randomly (map page)
