Prologue
During the prologue, there's not much to do, just watch the scenes. At the restaurant scene, where Nestor shamelessly fucks Licinia on the table, once you're ready to leave, you'll get a notification about unlocking your first bonus image (📷 unlocks Licinia bonus 1), which can be found in "game/images/bon" folder.
Once the hit job goes sideways and the police is on your tail, it becomes clear that Salazar has likely set you up and made you the scapegoat for the crime. When the S.W.A.T. team neutralizes you and you wake up at the police station's interrogation room, choose:
- "Yes!" > Enter your name
- Then select "..." twice
You'll get beat up by the cops and they'll throw you into a prison cell.
Alternatively, after you tell your name, you can choose to give up Hector Salazar, but there's no real advantage of doing so (aside for getting 8 years in prison, instead of 10, which story-wise makes no difference) and I wouldn't recommend it, because:
- You'll be targeted by cartel hitmen once you'll get out of prison and start moving around the city - you'll be at constant risk of dying and having to restart your game. The solution to this is to go to the police station and tell Zeus that you've got a problem with the cartel. Essentially, you'll need to go an extra step for bribing the cops to help you (you'll need a good chunk of money that you won't have)
- You won't be able to work for Salazar as a bodyguard on weekends, which has its bonuses (including some extra scenes)
- You will get a slightly different story for Bella (in terms of dialogue and a couple quests (see Bella's alternative path), but it doesn't seem worth the trouble
In either case, the scene will skip to 10 (or 8) years later with the MC being released from prison and Zeus taking him back to the city in his police cruiser. After the cut scenes of the MC going on a drinking binge, he'll wake up on the street greeted by Arnold. At this point the free-roam part of the game will start.
The in-game cheat menu
At the end of the prologue, you'll be offered to enable the cheat mode, which is highly recommended, since it will lessen the amount of grind you'll need to go through.
In its current state, the game isn't balanced enough when it comes to in-game resource management, hence the player will waste a lot of time micro-managing needs, money and relationship stats, instead of completing the quests and unlocking the content.
The downside of using in-game cheats - you won't be able to unlock special 4K renderings for some of the characters as well as to unlock some extra scenes.
Alternatively, if you decide to play without the in-game cheat menu in order to unlock the extra content, I strongly suggest using URM, which will still allow you to cheat by editing certain game variables manually (see, Console cheats).
